The Experience

What private training looks like

Private training is for people who want full attention from their coach. Every session is designed around you, your movement patterns, your recovery, and your goals.

This is strength coaching built on the Chaos to Structure system. Every rep has a reason. Every session connects to the one before it. You’re not just working out. You’re building toward something specific.

Scheduling is flexible, Sunday through Friday. Every session is tailored to your goals and schedule if you want a mix of focused one-on-one work and group energy.

Every session is designed around you. Your movement, your recovery, your goals.

Why people across the Conejo Valley train with Coach Ben

Most personal training in Westlake Village looks the same: a workout gets written on a whiteboard, you get through it, and next week gets written again. Private training with Ben is built differently. Every session is a piece of a plan — your plan — and each one connects to the last. That is the Chaos to Structure system: training that survives a bad week, adjusts when your schedule blows up, and still moves you forward when motivation is gone.

Ben works with a small number of private clients so each one gets full attention: form corrections in real time, programming that changes as you do, and nutrition guidance built around how you actually eat — no food scale, no cutting out entire food groups.

Who private training is for

  • Busy professionals in Westlake Village, Calabasas, Oak Park, Agoura Hills and Thousand Oaks who want results without a six-day-a-week commitment
  • Anyone returning to training after time off, an injury, or years of “starting over every couple of months”
  • Beginners who want to learn to lift properly from day one instead of guessing in a big-box gym
  • People who have tried apps, classes and group programs and want a coach who actually knows their name, their history and their week

What your first month looks like

Week 1 — Assessment and plan

Your first session is the in-person assessment: movement screen, strength baselines, injury history, and an honest conversation about your schedule. From that, Ben builds your program. The $100 assessment is credited toward your first package.

Weeks 2–4 — Structure

Two to three private sessions a week, each one written for you. You learn the main lifts properly, build the habit of showing up, and start seeing the numbers move. Nutrition rules get layered in as you go — a few you will actually follow, not a plan that needs a perfect life.

Month 2 and beyond — Momentum

The plan changes as you change. Heavier where you are ready, lighter where life is loud. Clients who train with Ben long term are the ones who stopped restarting — because nothing about the program required them to be perfect.

In person, online, or both

Private sessions happen in Westlake Village. If you travel, work irregular hours, or live outside the Conejo Valley, Ben also runs a 1:1 online coaching advisory with the same programming and weekly check-ins. Many local clients combine the two: in-person sessions for technique and accountability, online programming for the days in between. The nutrition side comes with either.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a personal trainer cost in Westlake Village?

Private training with Ben starts with a $100 in-person assessment (credited to your first package). Session packs run from $800 for 4 sessions to $2,080 for 16 — see the full pricing above. No long-term contracts. Here is how that compares locally.

Do I need to be in shape before I start?

No. That is backwards. Programs are built for where you are now, and beginners often progress fastest because they learn to lift properly from the first session.

How many sessions a week do I need?

Two to three focused sessions beat an ambitious six-day plan you abandon by week two. Ben builds the schedule around your calendar, not the other way around.

Do you help with nutrition too?

Yes. Nutrition and training are built together, because they fail separately. Expect a few practical rules that fit your life, not a food scale.

What if I am not sure private training is right for me?

Book the free 20-minute consultation. Tell Ben what you have tried and what your week looks like, and you will get a straight answer either way.
